Welcome to Harrop Fold

At Harrop Fold, we are committed to making the difference for all our young people.  Our aim is to produce well-rounded young people who are prepared for our ever-changing world. We do this by focusing on the Personal, Social and Academic aspects of education, which will drive our young people to reach their potential and achieve true excellence.

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into effect on 25 May 2018,
updating the previous rules under the Data Protection Act 1998. The new rules strengthen
the protection of personal information and extend the rights that we all have over who holds
our information and how it is used.
As part of our work to comply with the GDPR, we have updated our Data Protection Policy
and Privacy Notices and have made them available to parents and carers within our
‘Policies’ section of the school website.
At this time we are also re-seeking consent for using additional photographs or videos of
your child on our website, internal displays of other materials and social media. A consent
form will be issued by email, and we would appreciate it if you filled this out and returned it to
the school office by Friday 13th July 2018. When doing this please bear in mind that, like
most schools, we rely on social media and digital forms of communication to keep parents
and carers informed of school activities. We always use images responsibly in our
publications and online.
We will also send out data sheets over the next few weeks for you to amend via the new
SIMs Parent Lite; details of how to log on to this and a password will be provided.
If you have any questions about how the GDPR affects you, or how our school is preparing,
you can contact Mrs Paula Iqbal, School Business Manager.
