School Closure – Information

Good morning,

Unfortunately due to a staffing shortage as a result of primary schools closing and families self isolating, we are having to make a few adjustments. Year 9 will be finishing school today at 11am. Pupils will be given a pack of work to complete whilst they are away from school. They will also leave with a free school meal.
Year 10 will be finishing at 1.30pm, also with work to complete.

Please note the following:
– Year 9 and 10 pupils are asked to stay at home until Monday – although we will update further throughout the week.
– Siblings in other year groups can be collected if parents and carers wish to do so.
– Absence is authorised for pupils affected.
– If a parent or carer works for the emergency services please let us know and we will support where possible.
– There have been NO confirmed cases of Coronavirus in school.
– Year 7, 8 and 11 should attend school as normal
– All pupils affected must have permission from home in order to be released from schools care.

We thank you in advance for your understanding during these challenging times. We are working hard to keep business as normal for as many pupils as possible.

As expected our phone lines are extremely busy, please be patient with us as we try to do the best for our young people and community.

I will try to reply to as many questions as I can on here.

Many thanks,

Tracey Daniel – Assistant Headteacher
